The Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) course offers a clear, structured, and in-depth overview of one of the world's oldest and most coherent medical systems. This program is designed for everyone—students, therapists, biotherapists, holistic coaches, and healthcare professionals—who wish to understand the theoretical, philosophical, and clinical foundations of TCM from an academic and integrative perspective.
Throughout the course, the essential principles underpinning this medicine are explored: the theory of Yin-Yang, the Five Elements (Wu Xing), the energetic physiology of the Zang-Fu organs, the meridian system, and the dynamics of Qi, Blood, and Body Fluids. Classical diagnostic methods—observation, questioning, palpation, and olfaction/auditory—are also introduced, with an emphasis on differential clinical reasoning based on patterns.
The program integrates conceptual understanding and practical application, enabling students to recognize how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) interprets health and disease processes as expressions of functional balance or disharmony. It will also address the relationship between emotions, organs, and energy circulation, providing a foundation for understanding traditional therapeutic approaches through acupuncture, herbal medicine, diet therapy, Qi Gong, and lifestyle regulation.
This course not only imparts technical knowledge but also introduces a systemic, relational, and preventative approach to clinical thinking, where the human being is understood as an inseparable unity of body, mind, and environment. Upon completion, participants will have a solid framework to pursue advanced studies or integrate these principles into their professional practice, broadening their perspective on care, health, and therapeutic support from a truly holistic approach.
🧭 General Objective By the end of the course, students will understand the essential foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine and will be able to interpret basic health and imbalance processes from its energetic and systemic logic.
🌱 Central educational objective of the introductory level That the student incorporates a new framework for understanding health, moving from a mechanistic model to a relational, energetic and preventive vision.
